Selection of gate form
When choosing the form of gate, it is necessary to determine the gate according to its working nature, location, operation condition, span of gate hole, opening and closing force and project cost, combining with the characteristics of gate, referring to the existing operational experience and through technical and economic comparison. Among them, plane gate and arc gate are the most commonly used gates. Large and medium-sized open-top and submerged working gates mostly use arc gates, especially high-head deep-hole working gates. When used as accident gates and maintenance gates, plane gates are mostly used. Maintenance gates and accident gates are permanently installed in front of working gates. Due to frequent operation or partial opening of high head sluice gates, the vibration and cavitation of the gates should be reduced, the hydraulic conditions of the gates should be improved, the dynamic effects should be considered according to different components, and the stiffness and dynamic characteristics of the gates should be analyzed and studied. The manufacturing and installation accuracy of the door blade and buried parts should be strictly controlled. When the boundary flow pattern of the door slot is complex or its shape is special, besides referring to the successful test of the existing operation, the possible vibration and cavitation problems should be solved by hydraulic model test in order to select the appropriate shape of the door slot.
